Job Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a variety of professional nursing duties in compliance with the Skilled Nursing Facility regulations and follows established policies and procedures for our busy TCU Transitional Care Unit in Edina, MN - Aurora on France TCU.
16 hours per two weeks
Evening shift
Every other weekend Sat/Sunday and holiday rotation
Aurora on France is a new, innovative senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital in the heart of Edina, MN. Located conveniently near Hwy. 62 and France Ave. and is on a bus line. Aurora has 136 units offering a full continuum of care including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Provides skilled nursing care such as; implementing practitioners’ orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operates medical equipment, and charting practices
Lifts and transfer residents as needed, Initiates emergency treatment as needed
Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff
Updates RN with current observation and completes documentation of resident health status
Communicates changes in residents conditions to relevant individuals
May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements and care plans
Required:
MN LPN licensure
AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers
(3 week grace period for BLS)
Able to work independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
Previous healthcare experience
Comfortable using computers, hand held devices, phones and fax machine
