Kelly Services Production Equipment Support Supervisor in Edgewood, New York

Warehouse Supervisor (Production Equipment Support Supervisor)

Location: Edgewood, NY

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (availability required until 5:00 PM and occasional weekends/holidays based on production volume)

Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000 annually + Annual Bonus

Direct Reports: Approximately 15–20 technicians/mechanics

Overview:

Broadridge is seeking a Production Equipment Support Supervisor to join our growing team. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and performance of production equipment while leading a team of technicians in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient workflow, minimize downtime, and support operational excellence through strong leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide direction to production mechanics and technical staff, ensuring timely equipment repairs and continuous workflow

  • Maintain parts inventory, including tracking, ordering, vendor coordination, and cost management

  • Oversee and ensure completion of preventive maintenance schedules

  • Monitor machine performance, efficiency, throughput, and downtime; implement improvements as needed

  • Review and ensure accuracy of all administrative and maintenance documentation

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15–20 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture

  • Assume departmental leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Department Manager

  • Communicate regularly with senior management regarding production schedules, equipment status, and operational challenges

  • Stay current on new technologies and equipment used in production and technical operations

  • Ensure adherence to departmental procedures and company standards

  • Drive cost efficiency, including labor, overtime, and inventory control, to meet or exceed cost-per-unit targets

Qualifications: Compensation & Benefits:

  • Associate’s degree or completion of a Technical/Trade School program

  • 5+ years of experience in operation and maintenance of production equipment

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment

  • Strong knowledge of insertion and bindery equipment; experience with electrical and electronic systems required

  • Electrical/electronics repair experience preferred

  • Experience with Jet/IQ reporting tools for monitoring and analysis

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Proven leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, and team development

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 annually

  • Bonus: Eligible for annual performance bonus
