Kimley-Horn Structural Engineering Analyst - Solar (Renewable Energy) in Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Overview
Kimley-Horn's Eden Prairie, Minnesota (MN) office is seeking a Structural Analyst with 2+ years of experience to join their Renewable Energy team. As a critical member of the Renewable Energy team, you will perform a variety of civil/structural engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship, camaraderie, and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
Responsibilities
Assist with the structural design, calculations, and engineering of utility-scale solar projects
This person will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, solar engineers, and construction professionals, to ensure the successful execution of solar projects
Perform detailed selection of hardware
Review submittals
Jurisdictional Permitting and Agency Coordination
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
2+ years of prior civil/structural engineering experience working with a professional design firm
EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain within 6 months
Knowledgable in AutoCAD, RISA3D (or structural softwares), coding language and Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
