Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team to build and troubleshoot hydro-mechanical subsystems. This hands-on role involves interpreting engineering blueprints and schematics, and process documentation to deliver assemblies that meet strict quality and schedule requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
You’ll be responsible for assembling components using hand tools and precision measuring equipment, diagnosing and repairing both new and customer-returned units, and ensuring documentation accuracy in line with company standards. Additional responsibilities include supporting process improvements, maintaining professionalism in all interactions, and continuously developing technical expertise through training and knowledge sharing. This is an on-site position with long-term potential and opportunities to work closely with engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble hydro-mechanical subsystems per engineering blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
Interpret technical documents to determine assembly steps and expected outcomes
Use hand tools, specialized equipment, and measurement instruments accurately
Troubleshoot and repair subsystems, including disassembly and root-cause analysis
Implement solutions to resolve performance issues
Maintain accurate records and contribute to updates or improvements in documentation
Execute non-conforming material processes correctly
Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives
Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, engineers, and customers
Engage in ongoing training and provide guidance when appropriate

Skills and Requirements
Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics
1+ years of experience working hands-on with hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies
Skilled in using hand tools (e.g. torque wrenches) and basic measurement tools
Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for mechanical systems
Familiarity with documentation practices and handling non-conforming materials
Strong communication and teamwork abilities - 2+ year certification or degree in mechanical assembly or hydraulics or military background
Knowledge of hydro-mechanical systems and related technologies
Experience with process improvement or quality initiatives
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
