Primary Objective

As the Structural Testing Market and Product Manager you will be responsible for the planning, development, and management of products and market strategies within the Structural Testing business. You will ensure the product aligns with the company's overall strategy and meets the needs of customers and the market. This involves developing relationships with key customers to understand their evolving needs, assessing market trends, understanding the competitive landscape, and optimizing our value proposition across different geographies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing communications and sales, to drive the success of the product.

Major Areas of Accountability

Product Strategy:

  • Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business goals.

Market Strategy Development:

  • Develop a comprehensive go- to market strategy that aligns with business objectives.

  • Develop overall Strategic Intent by segmented end user market.

  • Analyze data to understand market opportunities and threats.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

  • Define marketing goals, KPIs, and budget requirements.

Product Development:

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create detailed product requirements.

  • Define and manage the product development lifecycle, including milestones, timelines, and resources.

  • Develop and provide overall business case for any customer backed innovation.

  • Create and validate unique product value propositions that resonate with markets and customers.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, including executives, engineering, sales, and marketing teams.

  • Build cross-department credibility, confidence, and collaboration with other functional areas within MTS.

  • Provide regular updates on the product's progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Product Performance and Analytics:

  • Use data and analytics to make informed decisions and optimizations.

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive product improvements.

Education, Experience & Skills Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing technical discipline

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience

  • Ability to contribute at a strategic level to define growth strategy and rationalize product portfolio

  • Knowledge of marketing and the product development process and tools

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present at all levels of the organization

  • Highly motivated and results oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team environment with ability to easily adapt to change, consistently meet deadlines and excellent follow through

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally

  • MBA preferred

Compensation Information:

$92,000 - $130,000 Annual Salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
