Eden Valley Growers Inc Agricultural Equipment Operators in Eden, New York

Workers will perform duties relating to the care, handling and packing of various fruit, vegetable, and potted crops sold by Eden Valley Growers including; Beans, Lettuce, Peppers, Broccoli, Greens, Cauliflower, Radish, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Cukes, Corn, Asparagus, Pumpkins, Winter Squash, Brussel Sprouts, Peas, Eggplant, Grapes, and Berries . Duties will include loading and unloading of trucks, stacking and palletizing of produce items, assembling orders, icing and cooling of produce, repacking of produce as needed, production, care and handling of potted plant material, and general clean-up and maintenance, operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license. -Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products . Duties may vary from time to time. Applicants must have a minimum of three months experience operating both hand and electric jacks and forklifts, as well as the ability to back-up and pull-out CDL size trucks within the yard at Eden Valley Growers. All applicants must possess the ability to work between hot and cold temperatures throughout their shift, work various shifts, be on their feet for long periods of time, and the ability to lift 80 pounds.
