Mechanic
- Location: Cambria County, PA
- Payrate: $18 - $22 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday- 7:30am to 4pm - Overtime available

What will you be doing?
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to set up, operate, and maintain production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Perform mechanical setup, adjustment, and operation of production machines following prints and specifications.
- Work with a variety of mechanical equipment including lathes, grinders, mills, and similar machinery.
- Select, align, and securely attach holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines.
- Apply mechanical knowledge, mathematics, and precision measuring instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions, vibration issues, and out-of-tolerance machining.
- Make necessary mechanical repairs or adjustments to correct errors and ensure machines operate efficiently.
- Inspect, test, and measure completed production units to verify mechanical accuracy and quality standards.
- Start, monitor, and restart mechanical systems and equipment after maintenance or power interruptions.
- Perform routine mechanical maintenance such as lubrication, part replacement, and component adjustments.
- Identify potential mechanical failures and proactively recommend repairs or improvements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, following all mechanical safety standards and company procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
What are the Job Requirements?
Previous experience as a mechanic, machine operator, or in a related mechanical trade.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, machine setup, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and precision measurements.
Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and equipment issues.
Basic knowledge of shop math and mechanical measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
High School Diploma
