We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Commercial Driver to transport trash, refuse, and recycled materials to designated disposal and recycling facilities. This role requires a commitment to safety regulations, routine vehicle maintenance, and effective communication with supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

1. Transport trash, refuse, recycled materials, etc to predetermined locations.
2. Pre- and post-trip inspections of any vehicle to be operated while on duty.
3. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
4. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations, as well as with company policies and procedures
5. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
6. Report defects, accidents or violations to supervision
7. Assist loader as needed for heavy, or bulky, items

Skills

1. Proven work experience as a truck driver
2. No recent moving or driving violations
3. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
4. Valid CDL Drivers license, with current medical card
