Position Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – Digital Enablement

Location: Eastover Mill – Eastover, SC

Department: Maintenance and Engineering

Position Summary

The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – Digital Enablement is a mill-embedded technical role at the Eastover Mill, responsible for identifying, developing, and supporting digital transformation initiatives that improve safety, reliability, and operational effectiveness. This role works closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, the Digital Transformation team, and the Data Center of Excellence (CoE) to connect mill operations with enterprise capabilities and enhance and improve the mill’s digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digitize field-based work such as inspections, rounds, readings, and maintenance activities

  • Support and manage software and applications for maintenance and operations

  • Develop, update and maintain software solutions supporting operations’ and maintenance’s tasks such as precision sheets, maintenance tasks and operator rounds.

  • Capture tribal knowledge in digital SOPs

  • Provide operators and maintenance techs with digital aided decision-support tools

  • Build and enable remote monitoring and troubleshooting

  • Reduce exposure to hazardous areas through digital solutions

  • Support Eastover Mill SharePoint needs

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and OT security requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 Years of experience in Electrical Instrumentation and Controls or 3-5 years of experience using digital tools to improve manufacturing efficiencies

  • Associates degree or higher in a highly technology driven discipline

  • Paper Mill or equivalent industrial experience

  • Demonstrated experience using digital technology to improve work systems

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint

  • Working knowledge of network communications

  • Strong ability and desire to drive change toward digital transformation
