Speech-Language Pathologist -Elementary Opening
Contract | Full-Time | 35 hrs/week

Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide evaluations, therapeutic interventions, and documentation for students in a school-based environment. This position ensures services are delivered in alignment with individualized plans of care, physician orders, and all professional standards of practice. The SLP will work closely with the IEP coordinator and school team to support student communication goals.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans.
Provide direct therapy services in alignment with student IEPs and physician orders.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and the IEP coordinator.
Maintain compliance with all professional, state, and district standards.
Manage a caseload of approximately 45–50 students.
Minimum Requirements
Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of Maryland (required).
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; may be required depending on contract.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a school setting as a licensed SLP. (CFYs are not eligible.)
Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
Current CPR certification (if applicable).
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
Current health certificate (as required by state or contract).
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
