Aerotek Welder in East York, Pennsylvania

Hiring for Welder – Shop & Field (MIG & Stick)

Location: East York, PA (will need to be okay with travel)

Pay: $22/hr – $32+ per hour (based on weld test)

Shift: 6:00am start – Finish (currently 10 hours OT/week)

Overview

We are seeking skilled Shop and Field Welders to support the fabrication and installation of miscellaneous metals and structural steel. This position requires strong welding experience and the ability to work both in the shop and on field assignments as needed. Weld tests are conducted early mornings, and pay rates are determined strictly by weld test performance—not years of experience.

The company is being awarded multiple prevailing wage and state-funded projects this summer, creating immediate openings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MIG and Stick welds in vertical, overhead, and out-of-position applications.

  • Fabricate and install miscellaneous metals: railings, stairs, ladders, ramps, platforms, and structural steel components.

  • Read and interpret drawings/blueprints.

  • Take accurate field measurements and assist with layout work.

  • Work outdoors in varying conditions when on field assignments.

  • Lift, climb, and work at elevated heights as required.

  • Travel up to 2 hours from the shop for field work (all employees meet at the shop each morning).

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of welding experience required (MIG & Stick).

  • Experience with miscellaneous metals and structural steel preferred.

  • Ability to weld independently in both shop and field environments.

  • Comfortable with physical demands: lifting, climbing, heights, outdoor work.

  • Tools - Must provide personal hand tools and welding rig.

Entry-level welders will be considered if they completed co-op/on-the-job training.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
