Job Title: Civil Loader Operator
Job Description
As a Civil Loader Operator, you will play a crucial role in construction and civil works sites by safely and efficiently operating front-end loaders. You will be responsible for moving, loading, and distributing materials to support earthworks, road construction, utilities installation, and general site preparation.
Responsibilities
Operate front-end loaders to move soil, gravel, sand, aggregates, and other materials.
Load trucks, feed hoppers, and support excavation or grading operations.
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance, including fluid checks, greasing, and cleaning.
Follow site plans, directions from supervisors, and project specifications.
Maintain safe working distances around personnel, vehicles, and utilities.
Assist with general labor tasks when equipment operation is not required.
Keep accurate logs of equipment usage, hours, and maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental standards.
Essential Skills
3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience in heavy civil, roadway, or site work.
Experience working on public works projects such as DOT, municipal, or state projects is strongly preferred.
Ability to read site plans, grades, and follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong awareness of surroundings and a commitment to safety.
Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license; heavy equipment certification preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Additional tickets such as OSHA, First Aid, and flagging are a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Weymouth, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
