Description
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in driving full-cycle recruitment efforts to achieve hiring goals across all departments, ensuring open positions are filled with highly qualified and talented candidates. This role also provides comprehensive support across multiple HR functions, including orientation, coordination of employee training and development initiatives and HRIS management and development.
Essential Job Functions:
Recruitment & Hiring
Manage full-cycle recruitment for union and non-union employees (hourly and salaried)
Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies to meet staffing needs
Post job openings, maintain job listings, and coordinate internal and external job postings
Build relationships with external recruiting sources and staffing agencies
Screen candidates through interviews and pre-employment testing
Prepare offer letters, and lead new hire orientations
Partner with management to support current and future hiring needs
Temporary Workforce Management
Process timecards for temporary employees
Track daily temporary production workforce
Review and process weekly staffing agency invoices
Additional HR Operations & Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and new hire files
Process new hires in Paylocity using the onboarding and recruiting module
Verify employee eligibility to work in the United States (I-9 compliance)
Prepare and distribute new hire orientation materials and conduct New Hire Orientations.
Track and Ensure completion of New Hire Trainings from each department
Process and upload all New Hire or Job Change documentation ensuring accuracy and completeness
Support HRIS (Paylocity) training and contribute to system development and usage across all departments
Serve as a Spanish translator for employees, as needed, if bilingual
Perform additional duties as assigned by the HR Director
Requirements
HS Diploma required; college course and or minimum of one (1) year of work experience in the HR field required. Manufacturing Recruitment experience preferred.
Knowledgeable of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations.
Highly organized with a record of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Experienced computer user with strong skills using MS Office Programs, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and HRIS Systems (Paylocity experience a plus)
Must handle confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
