Full-time, 40 hours, Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat schedule Job Summary Helps people of all ages to participate in the activities & occupations that are important to them. Routinely works with individuals who have physical, cognitive, developmental, or emotional challenges that affect their ability to perform everyday tasks. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Conduct assessments of patients\' physical, mental, & developmental abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments. Implement & monitor treatment plans, adjusting as needed. Provide education to patients & their families about therapeutic activities & exercises they can do at home. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, & physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care. Maintain accurate & up-to-date patient records & progress notes. Attend staff meetings, continuing education programs, & professional development activities to stay current with new techniques & best practices. Qualifications Education Master\'s Degree Occupational Therapy required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses & Credentials Occupational Therapist [Massachusetts License] - required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - preferred Experience Occupational Therapist experience 0-1 year preferred Experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility 0-1 year preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to work effectively with patients & co-workers. Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent time management skills. Good oral & written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills required.
