Robert Half Customer Service Representative in East Rutherford, New Jersey
Description We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team in East Rutherford, New Jersey. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional support to customers across various market segments. This role requires proactive communication, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to building long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver outstanding customer service by collaborating with internal teams and external partners to meet customer needs.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Prepare and provide accurate and timely quotations to customers.
• Process and manage customer orders, ensuring all data is entered correctly into the system.
• Support the Sales team with quotations, order reports, and delivery status updates.
• Monitor and handle daily customer orders, including confirming orders, providing shipment tracking, and updating customers on backorder statuses.
• Resolve operational challenges related to order processing, deliveries, invoicing, and returns.
• Coordinate with supply chain, logistics, and other departments to ensure seamless customer service.
• Participate in shipping activities, including preparing shipping documents and ensuring they meet deadlines.
• Conduct regular customer review calls and develop actionable follow-up plans to address customer needs. Requirements • Associate’s Degree in Business or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in Customer Service or Sales Operations.
• Proven experience in customer service, preferably in the signage or architectural lighting industry.
• Strong skills in inside sales and customer service.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and order entry software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer-focused approach and problem-solving abilities.
