This recruitment will fill a current vacancy and establish an eligibility register for future Fiscal Support Technician positions within the Sheriff's Office.

Examples Of Essential Duties:

What you will bring, required education and experience

  • Two years of general fiscal/accounting experience.
  • Related education demonstrating required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job may substitute for up to six months of experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Two years of work experience in a fiscal office performing bookkeeping/payroll maintenance including use of a computerized financial management system (FMS).
  • Payroll and/or AR/AP experience using automated (electronic) bookkeeping methods.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using Workday HMS and FMS software
  • Governmental Accounting Experience

  • The successful incumbent will or may have unsupervised access to a secured/confidential facility or computer system(s). As a result, Kitsap County will be conducting an extensive criminal background check by law enforcement agencies, which will include fingerprinting.

Process work in a manner that results in a complete and evident audit trail. Prepare comprehensive and accurate documentation of transactions and adjustments.
