West Sound Workforce is assisting a Kitsap County based federal construction contractor in their search for a Quality Control Manager to support federal projects in Port Orchard, WA. This organization specializes in general contracting, project management, and heavy/civil construction work, bringing deep experience in federal contracting and a strong, safety-first culture to complex, high-profile projects. Reporting to project leadership, the Quality Control Manager will oversee the daily quality control activities for assigned construction projects, ensuring work meets established project specifications, federal standards, and industry best practices. This role involves managing on-site inspections, reviewing project documentation, coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams, and working with jurisdictional personnel to maintain consistent quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Shift information:

  • Monday -- Friday, Full Time

What you will do as Construction Quality Control Manager:

  • Oversee all project quality control activities, ensuring construction work meets contract specifications, federal standards, and industry best practices
  • Maintain and manage all QC documentation, including submittal logs, daily QC reports, checklists, as-builts, and project closeout records
  • Conduct on-site inspections, preparatory meetings, and follow-up reviews to verify compliance, identify non-conformances, and ensure timely corrective action
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, superintendents, internal teams, and jurisdictional personnel to support quality standards and proper handling of materials
  • Schedule, document, and track all code inspections, testing, and commissioning of systems, including punch lists and final acceptance
  • Chair weekly QC meetings and provide clear communication and documentation to project leadership, reinforcing quality expectations and compliance

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of construction experience with a commercial or industrial general contractor, including at least two (2) years as a Quality Control Manager or equivalent role
  • Completion of the USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of project award
  • Working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical construction methods, sequencing, and project scheduling
  • Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1, hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability practices on federal construction projects
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and proficiency with industry-standard construction software

Compensation & Compliance: This position is subject to Davis-Bacon wage requirements. All wages, overtime, and benefits will be provided in accordance with federal regulations.
