Water Restoration Technician – 65k-95k
The Water Restoration Technician plays a critical hands‑on role in restoring residential and commercial properties after water, wastewater, and related damage. This position is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in construction, carpet cleaning, landscaping, pest control, demolition, or general labor who enjoy physical work, field-based tasks, and direct customer interaction. Technicians use specialized equipment to extract water, remove damaged materials, support remediation efforts, and deliver professional, trustworthy service at every job site.
Responsibilities
Work as part of a field crew to extract water from structures using specialized restoration equipment.
Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials, including flooring, wallboard, furniture, and other affected components.
Assist with water, wastewater, and property damage remediation, including water treatment and cleanup activities.
Safely operate hand tools and restoration equipment during demolition, excavation, and cleanup tasks.
Drive extensively to customer locations in a company vehicle, maintaining professionalism and punctuality.
Enter homes and businesses and provide respectful, trustworthy service while solving water‑related issues.
Collect customer payment upon job completion when required and prepare for the next service call.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper respirator use and OSHA guidelines.
Support cleanup and restoration following water and fire damage.
Participate in paid training, meetings, and ongoing skill development.
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean, safe working condition.
Work comfortably through long, physically demanding days in various environments and weather conditions.
Essential Skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive extensively between job sites.
Comfort wearing a respirator and working in potentially hazardous environments.
Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting, carrying, demolition, and excavation.
Experience or aptitude in construction, general labor, landscaping, carpet cleaning, pest control, or similar trades.
Ability to use hand tools and basic construction/demolition equipment safely.
Comfort working around water damage, wastewater, and property damage remediation.
Strong reliability, punctuality, and willingness to work full‑time with flexible schedules and overtime.
Professionalism and trustworthiness when entering customer homes and businesses.
Basic customer service skills, including clear communication and payment collection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in water or fire damage restoration is a strong plus.
Background in demolition, excavation, or property damage remediation is beneficial.
Familiarity with wastewater handling, water treatment, or remediation processes is helpful.
Backflow certification (employer will assist in obtaining).
OSHA 10 certification (employer will assist in obtaining).
CDL‑A license or willingness to obtain with employer support.
Interest in long‑term growth within the Water Restoration department.
Willingness to participate in structured, employer‑paid training and ongoing development.

Work Environment
This is a field‑based role involving daily travel to residential and commercial job sites using a company vehicle. Work takes place in environments affected by water and related damage, including excavation and demolition around buildings. Technicians work 8‑hour shifts with opportunities for overtime at 1.5× weekly production averages. You clock in when leaving your home each morning, and all meetings are paid hourly. The role requires comfort with long days of physical labor, handling wet or damaged materials, and using specialized restoration equipment and protective gear, including respirators.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
