Job Title: Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift $17/HR
1PM - 9PM + OVERTIME
Job Description
This Forklift Operator role supports the shipping and receiving department by safely operating forklifts to move, stock, and organize inventory within a warehouse environment. The position focuses on material handling, replenishing bin locations, putting away stock, and assisting with warehouse reorganization as needed to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
Replenish pick locations from overstock locations to ensure product availability for order fulfillment.
Stock inbound inventory accurately in designated bin and storage locations.
Assist order pullers with picking and staging large orders to meet shipping deadlines.
Support warehouse reorganization efforts by relocating materials and optimizing bin locations when necessary.
Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, including aisles, storage locations, and loading zones.
Maintain accurate records of product movement, including completing and updating product movement forms.
Pull coil orders as needed and ensure they are staged correctly for processing or shipment.
Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of forklift operating experience in an industrial setting.
Previous warehouse and receiving experience.
Proficiency in safe forklift operation, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Experience with inventory handling, picking, production support, loading, and unloading.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory and product movement records.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Moline, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
