ATESTEO is growing! We are opening a new test center in East Lansing, Michigan --- the perfect opportunity for you to contribute to building our newest location from the ground up. Get in on the action and bring your ideas to life!

Your Responsibilities

  • Set up prototype fixtures and test articles
  • Support test bench engineers to set up mechanical aspects of measurement devices
  • Support test bench engineers during protype setups that may require constant change
  • Ensure manufactured parts are built to print
  • Keeping lab and workspace clean and organized
  • Fabricating and/or machining fixturing
  • Ensure shop consumable inventory is stocked adequately
  • Install instrumentation needed to collect data from the test article
  • Perform setup, diagnosis, and repair of prototype electrical and mechanical systems
  • Generate and take ownership of process documentation for test beds and test equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Ensure that measuring equipment calibration is up to date
  • Incorporate and integrate customer-specific diagnostic and analysis systems
  • Keep tests running
  • Regularly lifting 40+ pounds
  • Crane and Forklift operation

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Willingness to expand knowledge
  • Good attitude and willing to work in a small team environment
  • Solution oriented and problem solving
  • Safety oriented
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English
  • Must have professional interpersonal skills to communicate with team, customers and suppliers
  • Able to relay technical information in an understandable and constructive manner
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance habits, working hours necessary to perform a job
  • Understand customer satisfaction and requests are paramount
  • Basic understanding of drivetrain, coolant systems, and lubrication systems
  • Basic knowledge of measurement technology
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office suite

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Completed apprenticeship as a mechanic and/or technician
  • Experience in various fields of vehicle technology
  • Advanced fabrication skills beneficial
  • Experience with test bench automation systems
  • Reading and understanding technical print
  • Utilizing measurement tools to verify prints caliper, micrometers, and dial indicators
