Physician Assistant - Urology Practice
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join a well-established urology practice in New York City. This outpatient-focused role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced urologists while delivering high-quality, patient-centered urologic care.
The APP will support a subspecialty urology practice with expertise in reconstructive urology and endourology, providing exposure to advanced procedures and complex urologic conditions in a collaborative, academic-affiliated environment.
Practice & Provider Information
Dr. Johnathan A. Khusid, MD is a urologist based in New York, including Greenvale, and is affiliated with Catholic Health. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine in 2015 and has over 10 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Khusid has extensive expertise in urinary calculi (kidney stones) and their removal, as well as in treating prostate cancer and other urologic conditions. He accepts several major insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross, and UnitedHealthcare, and is highly recommended by patients.
Urology
Urologists treat males and females with urinary tract issues and men's reproductive organs. Conditions that urologists treat include bladder or prostate cancers, kidney stones and urinary tract infections. Urologists also perform vasectomies, which prevent males from impregnating women.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient urologic care under physician collaboration
Evaluate and manage new and established patients with urologic conditions
Conduct follow-up visits, postoperative visits, and routine office consultations
Manage conditions including BPH, kidney and bladder stone disease, urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and hematuria
Assist with or perform in-office urologic procedures as appropriate
Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures
Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State regulations
Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and lifestyle modifications
Coordinate care with physicians, hospitals, surgical teams, and ancillary services
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the EMR
Support quality initiatives and evidence-based urologic care
Qualifications
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State (or eligible)
National board certification required
BLS required; ACLS and DEA as required by practice standards from AHA only
Prior urology experience preferred; APPs with strong medical or surgical backgrounds will be considered
Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Salary Range
USD $69.54 - USD $74.67 /Hr.
