Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Middletown, CT

Job Description

Seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing development for integrally bladed rotors and turbine disks for military programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing development for integrally bladed rotors and turbine disks for military programs.

  • Review models for producibility and validate all necessary information is available.

  • Create process maps and operational flow diagrams, working with Industrial Engineering to determine machine capacity.

  • Determine necessary fixturing and tools, submit tool notifications, and create/update tool and gauge plans.

  • Create staged models in NX for roughing and finishing operations.

  • Submit NC programming requests.

  • Create characteristics matrix to support PFMEA.

  • Create/update PFMEA and control plans.

  • Initiate process plans.

  • Lead process tryouts when fixtures, tools, and raw materials are available.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in NX or equivalent software.

  • 5+ years of experience in a conventional machining environment.

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Fan Rotor, Turbine Disks, Titanium is preferred.

  • Experience with SAP is a nice to have.

Work Environment

The work environment is a union shop with a business casual dress code. The role requires 90% shop floor work and 10% desk work. Flexible start and stop times are offered, with core hours from 9am to 3pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of East Hartford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
