CBRE Lead Building Automation Engineer in East Hartford, Connecticut

About the Role:

As a CBRELead Building Automation Systems Engineer , you will play a keyrole in the design, configuration, and implementation of advanced buildingautomation and control systems at a large aerospace campus in East Hartford,CT . In this position, you will be responsible for developing controldatabases, creating intuitive graphic screens, and configuring control systemsin accordance with detailed project specifications and client requirements.

Thisrole sits within CBRE’s Engineering and Technical Services function, youwill lead a dedicated team responsible for the operation, maintenance, andoptimization of Building Management Systems, with primary focus on ALC WebCTRL

Theideal candidate brings deep expertise in building automation systems, strongproblem-solving skills, and the ability to lead complex control systemimplementations in a mission-critical, highly regulated environment.

This role On-site in CT.

WhatYou ‘ll Do:

Coordinate daily activitieswithin Building Automation Systems. Work within the system tomaintain operations.

Maintain a total facilitiessystems management program including all electrical, mechanical, life, andsafety systems.

• Create programming using flowdiagrams, sequences of operation, panel layouts, termination details, andproject specifications or sales proposals. Act as the technical liaison betweenowner and construction managers.

• Program and troubleshoot ALC WebCTRL/ BAS System

• Program control applicationsusing various software tools to support operator workstations, DDC fieldpanels, and third-party integration devices connected through multiplecommunications protocols.

• Perform job site systemcheckout, commissioning, and testing of control applications to verify properoperation according to project specifications, sales proposal, and designdocumentation.

• Develop system graphicdisplays, according to project specifications or sales proposal.

• Deliver on-site customeroperator training on the use of the installed system.

• Perform system evaluation anddiagnostics. Identify corrective action to restore systems to proper operatingconditions.

• Coordinate system installationwith installing contractor at the job site as required. Perform finalwalkthrough to ensure all items are complete and job signoff is received.

• Apply in-depth knowledge ofstandard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignmentsand provide innovative solutions.

• Coach others and sharesin-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several jobdisciplines within the function.

• Impact a range of customer,operational, project, or service activities within own team and other relatedteams.

• Explain difficult or sensitiveinformation.

• Work to build consensus andconvinces to reach an agreement.

WhatYou’ll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, ortrade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of adiploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Priorshift manager or supervisory experience preferred.

• Meet the physical requirementsof this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders,and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

• Ability to exercise judgmentbased on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

• Willingness to take a newperspective on existing solutions.

• In-depth knowledge ofMicrosoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook.

• Organizational skills with anadvanced inquisitive mindset.
