Construction Payroll Administrator

Robert Half's client is looking for a detail-oriented Construction Payroll Administrator to join their accounting department and this is open due to growth and expansion. Working alongside another payroll team member, the Construction Payroll Administrator you will ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing for union employees while adhering to industry regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of certified payroll, prevailing wage laws, and collective bargaining agreements.
Responsibilities:
Administer accurate and timely payroll for union construction employees.
Prepare certified payroll reports, ensuring compliance with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage laws.
Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements, wage classifications, and fringe benefit details.
Maintain organized payroll records and assist with audits or compliance reviews.
Ensure payroll activities follow current federal, state, and local regulations for the construction industry.
Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies with internal teams.
Monitor labor law changes to maintain compliance and update processes as needed.
Support audit and government requests for payroll documentation.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
• 3 years of construction industry payroll experience
• Proficiency in certified payroll and union payroll practices.
• Strong knowledge of Davis-Bacon Act and prevailing wage laws.
• Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and wage classifications.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and external auditors as needed.
