Insight Global Coating Engineer in East Hartford, Connecticut
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Coating Engineer to support a high‑temperature aerospace coatings group focused on turbine hardware. This individual will play a key role in front‑to‑back engineering support including coating,, failure analysis, and collaboration across design, manufacturing, and materials engineering teams. The engineer will primarily focus on technical documentation, report writing, and presentations, with limited hands‑on lab work. The role supports ongoing and long‑term development and production programs with a strong emphasis on high‑temperature, corrosion, and oxidation‑resistant coatings.

Skills and Requirements
BS degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field
4–5+ years of coating engineering experience
Aerospace coatings experience, preferably high‑temperature or ceramic coatings
Fundamental understanding of turbine hardware and high‑temperature environments
Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
Experience collaborating across engineering disciplines and manufacturing teams
Ability to work independently and “hit the ground running” - Experience with alloy design or high‑temperature materials development
Prior involvement in failure analysis of coatings
Exposure to production support, engine safety, or cost‑reduction initiatives
Familiarity with shop floor oversight and production issue resolution
