Smurfit Westrock Feeder Catcher 3rd shift in East Flat Rock, North Carolina
GENERAL PURPOSE: Load, inspect, count, seal and/or palletize packed finished goods in cases. Prepare cases for warehousing or shipping.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
\u2022 Checks machine schedules; prepares corrugated cases for production lines.
\u2022 Follow instructions provided by line operator, lead, supervisor and/or manager.
\u2022 Places cartons in feed maintaining proper stack height and carton direction.
\u2022 Maintains packing station with pallets and sealing tape.
\u2022 Change pallets and/or loads.
\u2022 Perform quality inspection of material to ensure product quality to the customer.
\u2022 Assist operator in maintain production and quality.
\u2022 Applies case label to corrugated case and securely seals case when full.
\u2022 Stacks pallets uniformly at required height.
\u2022 Prepares load ticket for pallet count.
\u2022 Participates in line clearance procedures after each item is run.
\u2022 Operates manual pallet jack.
\u2022 Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
\u2022 Stand on feet up to 12 hours per day.
Must have the ability to read and write instructions and correspondence.
\u2022 Use hands for simple and power grasping as well as push and pull.
\u2022 Use a hand operated pallet jack to move pallets of material.
\u2022 Attention to fine detail with printing, cutting and gluer issues.
\u2022 Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
\u2022 Must pass color vision test.
\u2022 Must be able to maintain good attendance.
\u2022 Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
