Associates of Cape Cod, Inc Senior Facilities Mechanic in East Falmouth, Massachusetts
Perform a wide variety of duties in connection with the installation, repair & maintenance of building, grounds, & facility equipment. Duties include performing scheduled maintenance procedures, lubricate equipment, change filters, making adjustments & troubleshooting as required. Assist with all aspects of remodeling/renovation of office, laboratory, general office space, & manufacturing areas. Coordinate & track work assignments. Responsibilities also include being on call for emergency services as required, & willingness to work, based on the need of internal customers. General Responsibilities: Properly monitor the facilities boiler in accordance with the Code of Mass. Regulations. CMR-146. This includes st&ing watch in a 24/7 environment on either a fixed or rotating schedule Make rounds every two hours of the mechanical room & the air handling room, checking for any problems with the machinery Perform unscheduled & preventive maintenance building & facility & production equipment such as; DPW, clean steam generator, RO/DI systems. glass washers, autoclave, processing tanks, air compressors, filtered gas system, & other manufacturing equipment Train new employees as required for preventive maintenance procedures & calibration General facility upkeep such as repairing doors, walls, floors, ceilings & other related building duties Completes work orders as assigned Organizes & maintains inventory of all supplies needed for maintenance Interact with building contractors & help them achieve their goals Contacts vendors & solicits bid as necessary Prepares purchase orders for repairs & supply parts Develops departmental standard operating procedures & maintains GMP & non-GMP equipment history files Manages small to medium size capital projects by leading project teams Participates in off-hours emergency coverage, as needed Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor Assist with equipment & calibration contractors Responsible for monitoring Process & Utility systems & equipment to ensure continuous efficient & reliable operations Performs scheduled & corrective maintenance of complex equipment & systems Evaluates equipment performance & recommends improvements to the Maintenance program & system design Ensure compliance with quality system procedures related to the Facility equipment & general day to day operations This position requires regular travel between our East Falmouth, MA & Mansfield, MA facilities Knowledge & Skill Requirements: Ability to follow written & verbal instruction Excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrated knowledge of shop math Knowledge of High-Pressure Boiler Systems Knowledge of Di & DPW water systems Knowledge of HVAC Systems Ability to follow written & verbal instructions Education & Experience: A minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent education or a combination of experience & education required. Second fireman?s license (preferred) Minimum of 10 years? experience in equipment maintenance work & coordinating with other trades (mechanical, electrical, HVAC & plumbing) for job continuity Physical Requirements: Occasionally sit, frequently stand, walk, & use hands Frequently reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, & crouch, or crawl.
