Athena Health Care Systems Hospice CNA in East Falmouth, Massachusetts
HIRING full-time and per diem CNAs to join the Hospice Services of Massachusetts team on Cape Cod!
$22 to $24 an hour with weekly pay.
This is an on-the-road position. Days, evenings, and weekend options.
You perform various services for your assigned patients to meet the patients’ personal needs. The hospice aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.
Experience:
Must hold an active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in Massachusetts.
At least one (1) year of experience as a CNA is required.
Duties:
Performing personal care needs for assigned patients and attending to his/her requests promptly.
Giving personal care, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen as often.
Assisting in dressing and undressing patients.
Assisting in feeding the patient.
Taking and recording oral, rectal, and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency.
Providing proper care and observation of the patient’s skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominences.
Providing patients and families with positive communication techniques.
Meeting the safety needs of the patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2)
Assisting in ambulation and exercise as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist.
Provide a normal range of motion and transfers/positioning as directed.
Offering and assisting with bedpans and urinals. Helping as assigned with light laundry needs.
