ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
Register guests upon arrival and departure, making them feel welcome while informing them of all resort amenities, services, and features.
Assists in preregistration and blocking of rooms for group and individual reservations
Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit, check-cashing, cash handling, and billing policies and procedures.
Responds to guest questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely, courteous, and professional manner, resolving issues when possible and escalating as appropriate.
Provides recommendations and information regarding resort amenities, activities, services, promotions, and local area attractions. Knows room locations, room types, bedding configurations, accessibility features, and current room rates.
Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and day-use rooms.
Processes reservation requests over the phone and in person for same-day and future stays, understands cancellation procedures, and seeks to maintain the highest available rates using suggestive selling and upselling techniques.
Processes guest check-outs, ensuring accuracy of billing and excellence of the guests overall resort experience.
Performs cashier-related functions including posting charges to guest accounts, balancing transactions, and charging purchases from Bear Essentials and other retail operations to guest rooms.
Uses proper telephone etiquette and professional communication standards at all times.
Uses proper mail, package, and message handling procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery to guests.
Reads all email and Teams communications daily and actively seeks information regarding daily operations, resort activities, and departmental or resort-wide meetings.
Participates in mandatory department and resort meetings, trainings, and ongoing learning opportunities.
Reports any unusual occurrences, guest incidents, or special requests to the Front Office Manager and/or AGM in a timely manner.
Knows and follows all safety, security, emergency procedures, and accident prevention policies; continually seeks to improve knowledge of SOPs and requests additional training when needed.
Maintains the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the front desk, lobby, and surrounding guest areas.
Maintains working knowledge of all resort components across seasons, including passes, tickets, vouchers, promotions, and policies, and is well-versed in the skiburke.com website.
Other duties as assigned, which may be directly related or unrelated to the original position.
