Job Summary and Qualifications

The Staff Data Engineer will assist in the development and maintenance of data integration pipelines using various ETL packages and tools. This individual will be a critical member of a collaborative team that is responsible for all aspects of data integration within the organization. Leads teams in ETL Development, data analysis, querying, building data solutions and applying transformations using a wide variety of data sources from/to OnPrem and Cloud technologies.

In this role you will:

• Advanced level building ETL packages using SSIS

• Building ETL and Analytics Pipelines in Cloud Platform

• Advanced Design and build data pipelines.

• Advance level producing optimal ETL from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and cloud technologies

• Advanced Level ability to create adhoc query and analysis on structured and unstructured data from a variety of sources.

• Develops advanced data acquisition, storage, processing, and integration solutions for operational, reporting, and analytical purposes.

• Develop advanced queries, views, and stored procedures.

• Optimize prototype solutions developed by other advanced level team members or business analysts.

• Work with stakeholders including the Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.

• Implement automated workflows that lower manual/operational costs, define and uphold SLAs for timely delivery of data, and move the company closer to democratizing data

• Promote a collaborative team environment that prioritizes effective communication, team member growth, and success of the team over success of the individual

• Adheres to and supports data engineering best practices, processes, and standards.

• Helps promote and support data security best practices that align with industry standards and regulatory and legal requirements

• Supports implementation of unit and integration tests and promote and conduct performance testing where appropriate

• Use some C# or .Net

• Leading team projects and teaching team members with less experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related technical field.

• 3 years of data engineering

• 5 years of SQL experience

• 5 years of ETL, SSIS experience

• 3 years of designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines

• 2+ years of working in cloud platform
