MISO Energy Transmission Planning Engineer II in Eagan, Minnesota
Description
As an Transmission Planning Engineer II , you will play a key role in supporting MISO’s generation interconnection process through power system analysis studies. In this role, you’ll collaborate with interconnection customers and transmission owners, contribute to process improvements, manage project workstreams, and take ownership of key processes that help drive efficient and reliable grid expansion.
Within your first year as our Transmission Planning Engineer II , you will know you are successful if you:
Administer simulations and technical analyses effectively.
Prepare and deliver relevant communications and data to our customers.
Make contributions to our already highly functional team.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $87,000-$112,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.

Required
Bachelors or better in Electronics Engineering Technology
Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering Technology
Bachelors or better in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Bachelors or better in Electrical & Computer Engineering
Bachelors or better in Computer Engineering
Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering
Experience
Required
- 2 years: Experience related to power system planning, operations experience, or related field.
Preferred
Previous energy industry experience.
Specific experience within any of the following: PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, and VSAT.
