Company Overview:

Join our dynamic and collaborative Proposals and Client Intelligence team as a Senior Proposal Consultant for a reputable Insurance company. We are committed to supporting increased workload demands and enhancing our proposal processes to drive business growth and membership expansion.

Position Summary:

The Senior Proposal Consultant will be responsible for writing and editing sophisticated responses to complex RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and developing content to meet evolving business needs. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Account Management, and cross-functional teams throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners to develop comprehensive and strategic responses to RFPs, RFIs (Requests for Information), and similar requests.

  • Serve as the project manager and strategic content leader for assigned proposal projects, identifying barriers and using problem-solving skills to keep projects on track.

  • Research, develop, write, and edit complex content for internal and external audiences, utilizing subject matter experts and other resources as needed.

  • Act as a content expert in developing and maintaining proposal database responses related to assigned product, process, and service topics.

  • Manage relationships with business partners for assigned projects; participate in various sales and marketing efforts; represent the team on internal committees and workgroups.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics, sharing results and participating in quality improvement efforts.

  • Identify and implement better means to serve business partners and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of proposal writing experience.

  • Experience in RFP, marketing, or other professional writing.

  • Advanced writing skills with superior project and time management capabilities to manage changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other relevant software tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with business partners, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with specialized proposal software such as Qvidian.

  • Background in healthcare.

  • APMP Certification.

  • Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
