Job Description

The salary for this position starts at $20.00 hourly. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part-time or full-time status.

  1. Job Summary:

    Vikings NFL FLAG Site Coordinators are responsible for the following:

  • Arrive before team practices to set up fields, head table, and other equipment

  • Direct players, coaches, parents and officials to their correct practice and game fields

  • Troubleshoot any potential roster and scheduling issues

  • Collect and report final scores from each set of games

  • Clean up fields, head table, and other equipment following the conclusion of games

  • Attend weekly virtual meetings during the season

    Candidates must be available to work on the following dates during the Spring 2026 season (all Sundays):

  • April 12

  • April 19

  • April 26

  • May 3

  • May 10

  • May 17

    1. Essential Functions:
  • Assists in the implementation of sports programs which may include organizing, delivering and administering sports leagues, recreation programs and activities.

  • Ensures a high level of customer service which enhances the member, program participant and guest experience and satisfaction.

  • Assists in managing the day to day programing to ensure revenue, program goals, and expense targets are achieved.

  • Delivers sports programs directly to members and participants a portion of the time.

  • Provides work direction to sports staff when appropriate.

  • May assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and giving work direction to staff and volunteers.

    1. Relationships:

    This position reports to the Sports Director/Sr. Sports Director who reports to the Executive Director. The incumbent works with branch and sports program teams, and other Association staff.

    1. Qualifications:

    Required

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in sports programs (preferably some experience or knowledge in football)

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage sports recreation program activities.

  • Knowledge of basic rules in sports recreation program activities.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Creative thinker with a history of applying innovation in programming.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build community relationships.

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel..

  • Ability to manage programs to a diverse population.

    Preferred

  • Multi Lingual

  • Must be able to carry .

  • Ability to travel locally to YMCA branches and Vikings NFL FLAG sites.
