Job Title: Utility Operator
Job Description
This hands-on role in the production packaging area is integral to our food production environment. The utility operator will work in a fast-paced setting, handling duties such as palletizing, packing, machine changeovers, and program editing. The role also involves documentation, coordination with team members, and maintaining the production line's efficiency.
Responsibilities
Work with the team in the packaging area, including palletizing, packing, and machine changeovers.
Edit programs on machines for job specifications such as size, weight, and speed.
Document completed jobs, waste, serial numbers, and quantities both in writing and using computer systems.
Coordinate break times for team members, ensuring smooth operations throughout the shift.
Discuss production details with operators and ensure quality and accurate reporting in the ERP system.
Set up, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment for the production line.
Verify serial numbers and quantities for production materials and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Print labels accurately for finished goods and ensure equipment is operational by communicating with maintenance.
Essential Skills
1-2 years of experience operating production machinery with equipment set-ups, start-ups, and adjustments.
Basic English or Spanish language skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working with computers and entering data into the ERP system.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push 30 lbs consistently.
Comfortable working in a hot environment up to 100 degrees and a fast-paced setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience in food production, especially in a bakery setting.
Commitment to work attendance and a desire to advance in a career.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
