Position Description:
The Commercial Credit
Analyst
II
independently
assesses moderate and complex
credit
requests
for presentation to Senior Commercial Lending and Executive staff. Although working
independently
on credit assessment, the analyst will assist commercial lenders with loan administration, legal documentation, cross-selling opportunities, call reporting, and customer communication.

Useindependentjudgmentand criticalthinking inthecompilation ofkeyfinancialdatafortheaccurate representation of credit risk in loan requests including global cash flowanalysis, collateralanalysis, industryanalysis, managementanalysis, andoverallrepaymentcapacity
Independentlycompleteunderwritinginaccordancewithcurrentregulations, complianceterms, bank policy, and legal requirements
Acceptcreditrequestsdirectlyfromborrowers;makeinitialdecisionwithregardtodeclination proceedinginthecreditrequestprocess
Recommendappropriateriskgrade,supportingthegradewithrisks,mitigants, andstrengths
Consideredavaluableresourceforthecreditwrite-up/templateandtaxreturnanalysis
Proactively assisttheCommercial Lendersinportfoliomanagement functionsincludingseeking out and assisting in the annual review process, loan review preparation, and inregulatory examinations; may manage said processes and examinations
Spreadfinancialstatements andtaxreturnsandanalyzehistoricalperformance; reviewproformas for reasonableness
Developappropriate loancovenants toprovideadvance warningofpotentialcredit riskand mitigate losses; develop proper loan structures
Assistinthetrainingofjunioranalysts asneeded; maymanage asmallgroupofother credit analysts or related positions
Reviewandanalyzeappraisalsformarket,credit,construction,andeconomicrisks
Understand morecomplicated loandocuments; assistCommercial Lendersinworkingwith outside legal counsel to prepare and execute loan documentation
Participate incustomer meetings; independently inspect properties; prepare customer communicationonbehalfoftheCommercial Lender; handle simple
loanclosings
for
the Commercial Lender; work with customers in obtaining updated financial statements
