QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 2-year degree in electrical or related subject matter. In lieu of a degree/diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. * Minimum 3 years\' experience in related work. Education classes in related areas may substitute for some of the required years of experience. * Read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. JOB DUTIES: * Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. * Generates, receives, and reviews work orders for electrical maintenance. * Schedules assigns, and communicates electrical maintenance and repair jobs while minimizing equipment downtime. * Collaborates with other staff regarding preventive maintenance and troubleshooting problems with major electrical equipment. * Supervises and monitors work performance of electrical maintenance workers, ensures that required material and equipment are available, work is performed properly, and complies with safety standards. * Ensures materials and equipment are ordered and remain in stock for projects. * Discusses anticipated projects with contractors, and collaborates with department supervisors about upcoming new equipment installations and major repairs. * Assists with organizing and providing instructions for the installation of new equipment or the modification of existing equipment. * Provides associated drawings and writes programmable logic controller (PLC) programs. * Reviews/prepares paperwork concerning timekeeping for the electrical maintenance workers, closing paperwork for work orders, and preparing reports. * Assists in training electricians performing work pertaining to electrical maintenance. * Plans electrical trade time and parts. * Ensures that activities regarding the maintenance and calibration of process instrumentation are properly conducted. * Coordinates writes and reviews standard operating procedure (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) related to department tasks. * Attends/participates in annual good combustion practice training. * Responsible for updating, monitoring and completing assigned Environmental Health and Safety Tasks. * Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
