Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Project Director to join the team support a large civil project. The Project Director will lead the I‑40 highway widening and bridge rehabilitation project in Durham, NC, overseeing all aspects of project execution, financial performance, and team leadership. This role is responsible for budgeting and forecasting, schedule oversight, contract and claims management, and executive‑level communication of project risks and opportunities. The Project Director will collaborate closely with corporate leadership, joint venture partners, and project teams while promoting a strong safety culture. This position plays a critical role in delivering a complex, high‑profile civil infrastructure project while maintaining financial discipline, operational excellence, and long‑term stakeholder relationships.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum 15 years of heavy civil construction experience on projects of $100 million or more
Proven experience leading large, complex highway and bridge projects
Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight experience
Expertise in CPM schedule development and management
Experience managing claims, change orders, and contract issues - PM and them
Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards - Experience managing joint venture (JV) projects
Prior leadership on DOT or interstate highway projects
Experience overseeing subcontractor buy‑out and procurement processes
Background working with alternative delivery or large infrastructure programs
Experience driving additional revenue through REAs and claims strategies
