Job Title

Low Voltage / AV / Security Technician (Entry Level)

Job Description

The Low Voltage / AV / Security Technician supports the installation, testing, and maintenance of low‑voltage systems including audiovisual (AV), CATV, and basic security infrastructure. This role involves hands‑on field work, equipment handling, cable termination and testing, and close coordination with project teams to ensure high‑quality installations that meet safety and performance standards.

This is an entry‑level opportunity for technicians looking to grow their skills in structured cabling, AV systems, and security technology while working in a team‑oriented environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesLow Voltage / AV / Security Installation

  • Install, route, and support low‑voltage cabling for AV, CATV, and security systems

  • Assist with device installation such as cameras, speakers, displays, and access control components

  • Perform basic cable termination and testing to validate system functionality

  • Handle cables and components carefully to prevent damage during installation

Job Site Operations

  • Work alongside lead technicians and project teams to complete installations efficiently

  • Maintain an organized jobsite, including proper tool usage, material staging, and cleanup

  • Follow installation plans and direction while communicating issues or obstacles proactively

  • Support troubleshooting efforts when system or cabling issues arise

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow OSHA and company safety protocols at all times

  • Properly use PPE including gloves, eye protection, and appropriate footwear

  • Safely work on ladders and in active construction or retrofit environments

  • Assist with setting up safe work zones when required

Required Skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
