ManpowerGroup Cleanroom Operator in Durham, North Carolina
The Cleanroom Operator supports pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by maintaining controlled cleanroom environments in compliance with FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role is critical to contamination control, product quality, and patient safety.
Job Title: Cleanroom Operator
Location: Durham, NC (RTP)
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shift, 6:00–6:30. Must be available to train on day shift for approximately two weeks.
Pay Rate : $20.00/hour during training; $21.00/hour once assigned to night shift.
Key Responsibilities
Work within classified pharmaceutical cleanroom environments supporting manufacturing operations.
Perform routine, scheduled, and as-needed cleaning and sanitization of cleanroom areas per GMP and FDA requirements.
Act as cleanroom support for filling technicians.
Clean and disinfect floors, walls, ceilings, equipment surfaces, workstations, doors, and pass-throughs using approved agents.
Execute proper gowning, degowning, and cleanroom behavior to prevent contamination.
Accurately complete GMP documentation, logs, and checklists related to cleaning and material handling.
Safely move, stage, and handle materials such as pallets, boxes, totes, bins, and manufacturing supplies.
Restock cleanroom materials and consumables to maintain efficient operations.
Identify and report spills, deviations, or contamination risks to supervision or Quality.
Dispose of waste and consumables according to pharmaceutical and safety procedures.
Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
BioWork Certificate or equivalent pharmaceutical manufacturing training required.
Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or regulated manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and contamination control principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Reliable attendance and ability to follow detailed procedures.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift.
Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
Ability to wear full cleanroom PPE, including gowning, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
Comfort working in a controlled pharmaceutical cleanroom environment.
