Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of general maintenance and repairs of the building, facilities and equipment including carpentry, plumbing, equipment moves, troubleshooting painting tasks, and other basic needs of the facility.
Primary Duties
Perform a wide variety of general building, facilities and equipment maintenance repairs and services
Grounds keeping- within facility and outside the building including the property.
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
Replace washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; repair leaky faucets and clean clogged drains
Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines
Ensure mechanical and physical safeguards are used when performing equipment repair
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities
Qualifications
Have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
Lock out/Tag out training
Mechanical and troubleshooting capability
Knowledge of materials used in building maintenance and the safe and proper environmental disposal of materials
Ability to work independently or as a team member
Ability to maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees
Education / Experience
Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment used for completion of the described job duties
Forklift license or ability to obtain license required
Three or more years’ experience in industrial maintenance setting
