Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of general maintenance and repairs of the building, facilities and equipment including carpentry, plumbing, equipment moves, troubleshooting painting tasks, and other basic needs of the facility.

Primary Duties

  • Perform a wide variety of general building, facilities and equipment maintenance repairs and services

  • Grounds keeping- within facility and outside the building including the property.

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks

  • Replace washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; repair leaky faucets and clean clogged drains

  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines

  • Ensure mechanical and physical safeguards are used when performing equipment repair

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities

Qualifications

  • Have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license

  • Lock out/Tag out training

  • Mechanical and troubleshooting capability

  • Knowledge of materials used in building maintenance and the safe and proper environmental disposal of materials

  • Ability to work independently or as a team member

  • Ability to maintain a professional courteous manner with all vendors, contractors, and fellow employees

Education / Experience

  • Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment used for completion of the described job duties

  • Forklift license or ability to obtain license required

  • Three or more years’ experience in industrial maintenance setting
