La Plata County Operations & Maintenance Specialist in Durango, Colorado
Maintain county buildings: carpentry, plumbing, roofing, HVAC, snow removal and concrete repair. Lead duties: direct work, train and resolve conflict. Coordinate with users for event setup/teardown and utilities. Operates and maintains heavy equipment (tractors, skid steer, backhoe, dump trucks). Performs preventive maintenance as needed. Assists with grounds maintenance. HVAC experience preferred. Background check and Drivers License required.
Supports the
Team Leader in managing and coordinating maintenance, repairs, event support, and coordinating outside services. Supervises the day-to-day activities of the maintenance crew during maintenance; event set up and tear down; and operation of all county facilities' public events and services. Performs maintenance and repairs on county facilities and trains others in performing tasks.
