Job Description
Compensation:
10-15 LPA - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
We are seeking a Backend Developer with strong systems engineering skills to support tooling used in data pipeline development. This is a remote, ongoing contract role focused on backend services written in Python, Go, or Java.
Responsibilities:
Write and maintain backend services in Python, Go, or Java
Support tooling for data pipeline teams (not building pipelines directly)
Commit code confidently to GitHub and participate in code reviews
Troubleshoot issues independently, including overnight support touchpoints
Collaborate with offshore teams and other vendors
Leverage AI tools for debugging and development support

Skills and Requirements
Strong systems engineering background
Proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Go, or Java
Ability to pass a Python coding exam
Experience with GitHub and confident code commits
Self-starter with independent troubleshooting skills
Understanding of object-oriented programming and string manipulation
Comfortable using AI tools for support and development Experience with SQL
Prior experience supporting data pipeline tooling
Offshore collaboration experience
