Ford Motor Company Facility Manager in Dunton, United Kingdom
As the Facility Manager, you own the physical performance and operational excellence of Ford’s UK Real Estate portfolio. While our Planning and Compliance teams define the strategy, you bring it to life, ensuring our buildings, systems, and services operate flawlessly.
You will lead the Integrated Facility Management (IFM) contract and a multi‑disciplinary technical team, ensuring our sites are safe, efficient, sustainable, and designed to deliver a world‑class employee experience. From high‑pressure utilities to digital building systems, you are the expert who keeps Ford running.

IFM Contract & Service Delivery
Lead the UK IFM contract, making sure all outsourced services meet expectations and support a great workplace experience.
Promote a strong customer‑focused culture and drive continuous improvement across all sites.
Technical Infrastructure & Maintenance
Oversee day‑to‑day building maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and civil works.
Manage key utilities such as HPHW, compressed air, HV systems, refrigeration, and hydraulic systems.
Ensure critical equipment, spares, and materials are always available to avoid downtime.
Energy & Digital Systems
Lead BMS operations and support energy initiatives that help Ford meet sustainability and carbon‑reduction goals.
Work with the Compliance Manager to ensure all operations meet Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
Operational & Financial Control
Manage operational budgets responsibly, finding opportunities to reduce costs without affecting quality.
Deliver facility projects safely, professionally, and on time.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead a diverse team of employees and contractors within the “One Team” model.
Build strong relationships with site leaders, government agencies, and Trade Unions to support smooth operations.
Degree‑level education or equivalent professional experience.
Proven facility management expertise , including IFM leadership and experience with complex building infrastructure and utilities.
Customer‑centric mindset , with a track record of delivering high‑quality service environments.
Strong business acumen , with a process‑driven approach and the ability to think strategically about long‑term portfolio health.
Excellent analytical and communication skills , with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership experience , managing diverse teams and third‑party providers within a collaborative framework.

This position is based in Dunton, Essex and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton Campus for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.
