Actalent Construction Quality Control Manager in Dunseith, North Dakota

Job Title: Construction Quality Control Manager – Federal Projects (Hurricane Relief)

Job Description

This role leads construction quality control for a federal construction project supporting the Government Services Administration. The position focuses on ensuring full compliance with federal requirements while overseeing all quality-related activities on site and collaborating closely with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality control plans in accordance with federal standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities to verify compliance with contract documents, specifications, and safety requirements.

  • Review and approve construction materials, methods, and workmanship to ensure they meet project and regulatory standards.

  • Coordinate and document all three phases of control (preparatory, initial, and follow-up) for each definable feature of work.

  • Identify quality issues, nonconformances, and potential risks, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate quality control records, reports, and documentation for submission to federal and NAVFAC representatives.

  • Collaborate with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.

  • Support and reinforce compliance with OSHA 30 and EM385-1-1 safety requirements in all quality control activities.

  • Participate in project meetings, including coordination and progress meetings, to report on quality status and recommend improvements.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in federal construction projects.

  • Proven experience managing construction quality control on federal projects.

  • Current Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) Certification.

  • Current OSHA 30 certification.

  • Strong knowledge of EM385-1-1 safety and health requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement construction quality control plans.

  • Ability to interpret and apply construction specifications, drawings, and federal regulations.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills for working with project teams and federal representatives.

  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality-related issues in the field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in construction management with a focus on quality and compliance.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and subcontractors within a federal project framework.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in reporting and recordkeeping.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement in quality and safety performance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dunseith, ND.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
