Job Title: Construction Quality Control Manager – Federal Projects (Hurricane Relief)
Job Description
This role leads construction quality control for a federal construction project supporting the Government Services Administration. The position focuses on ensuring full compliance with federal requirements while overseeing all quality-related activities on site and collaborating closely with project teams, subcontractors, and government representatives.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality control plans in accordance with federal standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction activities to verify compliance with contract documents, specifications, and safety requirements.
Review and approve construction materials, methods, and workmanship to ensure they meet project and regulatory standards.
Coordinate and document all three phases of control (preparatory, initial, and follow-up) for each definable feature of work.
Identify quality issues, nonconformances, and potential risks, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain detailed and accurate quality control records, reports, and documentation for submission to federal and NAVFAC representatives.
Collaborate with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
Support and reinforce compliance with OSHA 30 and EM385-1-1 safety requirements in all quality control activities.
Participate in project meetings, including coordination and progress meetings, to report on quality status and recommend improvements.
Essential Skills
10+ years of experience in federal construction projects.
Proven experience managing construction quality control on federal projects.
Current Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) Certification.
Current OSHA 30 certification.
Strong knowledge of EM385-1-1 safety and health requirements.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement construction quality control plans.
Ability to interpret and apply construction specifications, drawings, and federal regulations.
Strong communication and documentation skills for working with project teams and federal representatives.
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality-related issues in the field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in construction management with a focus on quality and compliance.
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and subcontractors within a federal project framework.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in reporting and recordkeeping.
Commitment to continuous improvement in quality and safety performance.

This is a Contract position based out of Dunseith, ND.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
