Position Overview
The Marketing Associate supports the execution of our marketing strategy across digital, social media, paid advertising, e-commerce, and in-store marketing for two retail locations. This is an entry-level, hands-on role working closely with the Management on real campaigns, real products, and real performance metrics.
This position is ideal for someone early in their marketing career who wants to build practical experience in content creation, social media, paid ads, website management, and performance reporting within a growing, multi-brand retail business.
Key Responsibilities
Create, schedule, and manage approved content for Facebook and Instagram; monitor and respond to comments and messages
Help moderate the community group and enforce group guidelines
Support Loyalty Program promotions and Group Challenges through social content and campaigns
Assist in creating, testing, and managing paid ads across key product categories (e-bikes, NuCanoe, Masterbuilt, Kamado Joe, Maui Jim) for both store locations
Test different ad creatives and audience segments, track performance, and prepare basic performance summaries (all ads and budgets reviewed and approved by the Marketing Director)
Add and maintain products on the website, ensuring listings are complete, accurate, and well-presented
Assist with content setup and management for BigCommerce storefronts
Support basic SEO improvements and blog content publishing
Ensure product data is accurate for in-store labels and signage and help audit site content for consistency and customer experience
Provide regular status and performance updates on marketing activities
Assist with answering phones, greeting customers, and helping at checkout to support store operations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
0--2 years of experience in marketing, social media, e-commerce, or digital content (internships count)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in digital marketing, social media, branding, and e-commerce
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
Comfortable working with data, content systems, and digital tools
Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to grow in a hands-on marketing role
Interest in outdoor, electric, or lifestyle products is a plus
