ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a TECHNICAL SPECIALIST-CHEMISTRY-UROLOGY to join our LAB ADMINISTRATION team!
Salary Range: $32.18 - $46.66 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.000000 FTE
JOB SUMMARY
The Technical Specialist-Chemistry and Urology serves as the technical expert in one (1) or more laboratory disciplines. Coordinates activities with other members of the laboratory team. Performs routine laboratory work.
+ + MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science or documented equivalent education and training per ASCP Board Of Certification alternate routes for certification.
Experience : Four (4) years working in a laboratory including one (1) year of experience working in area of specialty.
Licensure/Certification/Registration : ASCP Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).

READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
