Responsibilities

What You Will DO

As a Project Manager at MSA, you'll lead cross-functional teams on complex transportation engineering projects that span service lines and disciplines. Your responsibilities include:

Client Engagement & Business Development: Partner with leaders and client managers to identify opportunities and build strong relationships.

Project Leadership: Lead all project phases — from pursuit and initiation to planning, execution, and close-out.

Resource Coordination: Assemble and guide internal and external resources, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.

Technical Oversight: Review, certify, and stamp deliverables as needed while ensuring compliance and quality assurance.

Team Collaboration: Act as the key point of contact across workshare and project teams.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field (preferred).

6+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with a master’s.

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Minnesota required.

Solid understanding of Minnesota Department of Transportation (MDOT) design standards and submittal processes.

Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation to close-out.

Strong business acumen with a track record of managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.

Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

Passion for mentoring and developing junior staff.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary Range: $88,871 to 142,190, depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates with significant experience may also be considered for a higher-level role with increased compensation.
