About this Position
Seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager to contribute to Primerica’s project management efforts by facilitating the identification, definition and delivery of application development, infrastructure and third-party solutions. The Project Manager will lead a cross functional team using a mix of traditional project management disciplines and Agile/Scrum-based practices.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Project Manager will support from one to three teams on an on-going basis. The position will be required to transition from a traditional project manager to a Scrum Master depending on the initiative and methodology. Primerica uses traditional/waterfall, Agile/Scrum and Hybrid frameworks to manage initiatives. The Project Manager is expected to be proficient in all these approaches and able to apply principles, processes and skills as needed provide a successful solution. The project manager will assist in maturing the Project Management Office practice.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Agile Project Management
5+ years of Project Management experience in traditional and/or hybrid project management
3+ years experience serving in a key role on a Scrum team – Scrum Master (SM) preferred, or Product Owner (PO)
Proven flexibility in PM deliverables and processes to meet the needs of the organization
Experience leading large and medium strategic projects that involve legacy and new technology; mainframe, distributed and cloud-based projects using traditional PM approaches
Experience with both infrastructure and software development projects successfully meeting schedule and budget
Experience managing and recovering troubled projects; these can be over-budget, behind schedule and/or unresolved scope changes
Proven track record managing and leading a team of matrixed staff/consultants in cross-functional projects
Experience with the key ceremonies of Scrum: Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
Proven flexibility in dealing with variations within the Agile/Scrum approach
Ability to produce traditional project status updates for Features & Releases weekly, as well as manage risks & issues formally as part of the Scrum process.
Strong facilitation skills – will be leading and facilitating many meetings
Experience acting as a servant/leader and coach where a team does not report directly to you
Knowledge and/or experience with the use of User Stories to drive team planning and execution
General Project Management
Able to 'walk the fine line' between helping others in completing their responsibilities and completing their responsibilities for them
Able to drive a project to deliver on time, on budget and within scope
Proficient in project management tools including, but not limited to Smartsheet, Confluence, Jira
Proficient in project management processes, including: building predictive schedules from a WBS, estimating, managing and controlling the critical path, risks and issues, scope, budget, and communications.
Willing to support, mentor and train junior project leads
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter and able to work with limited support
Proficient in MS Teams, SharePoint, O365 applications

This position is hybrid in Duluth, Georgia.
The salary range for this position is $115k - $125k.
