Actalent Business Development Manager in Duluth, Georgia

Job Title: Business Development ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead business development activities within the Commercial Motors business unit in the USA. This position is critical in identifying and securing relationships with key players in the market to gain acceptance and preference for our commercial motors.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth within the company's Commercial Motors unit through effective engagement with all levels of customer stakeholders, including OEMs and distributors.

  • Identify unspoken customer needs through the Voice of Customer process and provide differentiated product and service solutions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions offerings, creating value propositions and driving healthy revenue growth.

  • Understand and communicate customer processes to ensure compliance with necessary requirements.

  • Manage the company's progress in positioning for OEM and distributor needs by collaborating with marketing, product, and sales teams.

  • Strengthen and protect the company brand by participating in conferences, trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements.

  • Identify industry megatrends, market dynamics, and competition to develop go-to-market strategies and Multigeneration Product Plans (MGPPs).

  • Achieve organizational goals and meet KPIs and reporting requirements.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

  • Travel domestically up to 25%.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent work experience.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related role.

  • Strong knowledge of market dynamics and customer needs.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Demonstrated success in acquiring and nurturing new relationships with OEMs and distributors.

  • Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently or in a team.

  • Effective self-management and timely execution of duties.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Motors and VFD systems is preferred.

This individual will be a critical individual and considered a leader in the field. The position is tasked with identifying and securing relationships with key-players specific to WEG Commercial motors with target OEM and distributors within the markets to gain acceptance and preference for WEG. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible and accountable for growth within the company's Commercial motors unit via effective engagement with all levels of customer stakeholders involved (OEMs / Distributors). Identify unspoken customer needs through Voice of Customer process and provide differentiated product and service solutions to customers. Inquire, understand, and communicate customer processes to allow WEG to undergo and meet necessary requirements. Grow and effectively manage WEG’s progress in positioning (acceptance, preference) for OEM and distributors needs. Collaborate with marketing, product and sales to align strategies and ensure seamless execution. Strengthen and protect the WEG brand: meet, investigate and participate in relevant conferences, trade shows, industry events, and customer engagements as required/necessary. Identify Industry megatrends, market dynamics, geopolitical & competition products and landscape to develop go-to-market strategies and prepare Multigeneration Product Plans (MGPPs) and potential areas for growth. Superb communicator – able to learn and present WEG capability, organizational strength, and act as the face of the organization with all key customers. Support broader WEG selling teams to promote and achieve objectives and support by preparing and delivering presentations, proposals to prospective clients.
