At Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, consumer web platforms play a central role within the broader engagement ecosystem, supporting discovery, education and ongoing interaction. Within the Commercial Excellence organization , this role ensures consumer web environments deliver a compelling and intuitive customer experience while supporting broader omnichannel engagement strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Consumer Web Ecosystem & Customer Experience acts as the internal expert and owner of consumer-facing web ecosystems. This role focuses on ensuring that consumer web platforms operate as a connected engagement environment , rather than isolated digital properties.

These platforms support multiple types of customer interactions including:

  • Educational content and product information

  • Brand engagement environments

  • Digital resources supporting pet health and care

  • Connections with other digital engagement touchpoints

  • Other digital interactions supporting the customer journey

The role ensures consumer web environments provide a high-quality customer experience , while supporting broader engagement journeys defined in collaboration with Marketing & Retail teams.

Operational activities such as SEO execution, generative search optimization, web development and content production are primarily supported by internal & external partners, allowing this role to focus on experience design, platform integration and engagement impact.

The role collaborates closely with the Senior Associate Directors responsible for Omnichannel Engagement and Customer Experience Innovation , ensuring consumer web platforms effectively support broader omnichannel engagement strategies.

  • Ensure consumer web platforms operate as a coherent ecosystem supporting how people interact with animal health brands.

Customer experience across digital environments

  • Improve how consumers interact with the company across web environments, ensuring intuitive journeys and meaningful experiences.

Integrated customer journeys

  • Ensure web platforms support broader engagement journeys across digital, marketing, retail and other consumer touchpoints.

Web as an engagement hub

  • Ensure consumer web environments effectively connect with other engagement touchpoints such as email marketing, social media and other digital channels.

Insight-driven optimization

  • Leverage behavioral insights and analytics to continuously improve engagement and customer experience.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with strong experience in consumer digital ecosystems and web-based engagement platforms , combined with a passion for customer experience. The ideal candidate combines digital platform expertise, customer journey thinking and commercial understanding.

Experience in areas such as:

Experience in consumer platforms, retail ecosystems or digital commerce environments is highly valued.
